I love to play computer games. Though, I am not a very good gamer but I enjoy playing games with moderate difficulty but at extreme quality for which I need high end graphics cards. Nvidia and ATI are both very good graphics cards manufacturers. I love Nvidia though I haven’t tried ATI graphics cards yet. I hear Nvidia graphics cards work better with AMD motherboards, though I don’t think its true. I have AMD motherboard and a nvidia graphics card to go with it. Rule for buying graphics card and any other computer hardware is always buy atleast six months old model because of two reasons, first any issues with the quality of graphics card gets fixed in six months or is atleast known to everybody and second reason is graphics cards prices fall sharply in six months sometimes coming down as low as half the original price of the graphics card. Also my advice is buy a mid-range graphics card because you may not need all that power to play games and putting a lot of money for slight improvement in graphics card performance is not a wise idea. Also selection of graphics cards depends a lot on the resolution of your monitor. so, just don’t buy a graphics card without doing a research on your current computer hardware first.
